AquaLogic BPM Suite, now part of Oracle BPM Suite

In the past few months we have been working hard to put the final touches on our next release. But first, I need to make sure the naming transition is clear. Here is a short summary. Last year, around August time frame we released BEA AquaLogic BPM Suite version 6.0. At that point the main line engineering team started to work on the next version code name GATURRO. The initial thinking with the numbering was 6.1, however by January it was clear that the amount of features made the release more of a version 6.5 (marketing was happy about it). During BEA Participate we presented you with early demos of ALBPM 6.5. Now under Oracle, we are updating the name to Oracle BPM 10gR3. (ALBPM 6.5 -> Oracle BPM 10gR3)

Below is a snapshot of the startup screen of the new Oracle BPM Studio 10gR3 (AquaLogic BPM Studio) already under the new branding.

More about the product and the new features in future postings. ;-)

Before I forget... Next month mark your calendars for the Gartner Business Process Management Summit in DC, 10-12 September 2008. The Oracle BPM team will be there with the very latest software, cool demos, and very interesting presentations. We hope to see you there!

Cheers,

Hey Alex, you new blog look even much better than dev2dev one, wow! The version transition would be a bit confusing. But anyway, 10gR3 looks not to o bad. Just wonder 10gR3 == 10.3 == ALBPM 6.5? And obviously there is not 6.1?
